The AI mindset

I’ve talked with a lot of people who experiment with AI, get poor results and conclude that it’s not good enough. Deeply skeptical, they keep AI at arm’s length and resist learning how to work with it.

AI still gets a lot of things wrong, but the better mindset is to hold yourself accountable for the result. Treat errors as data points, not verdicts. Did I provide enough information for the model to succeed? Is this the right approach? What else can I try?

Sometimes the model really can’t do it, and that’s worth knowing. But somebody has to own the output. If you always blame AI for bad results, you’ll never adapt your way of working and find out what the technology can do.
